This style of design originates from 8th Century Japan. ‘Shiobori’ is the name given to a traditional dye-resit process, involving binding certain sections of the fabric to achieve the desired pattern. Bazaar Velvet have created a range of unique luxury hand knotted rugs featuring natural indigo dyes as used in the original fabric, finished with high and low pile heights with hints of silk.
